Transportation of overzised cargo by rail

Our railway department has successfully completed railway transportation of oversized (accommodation units) from Poland to Usinsk (Russia). The dimensions of each of the three delivered units were 17.7 m (L) * m 3 (w) x 3.2 m (H). For that oversized cargo our colleagues have developed a combined method of delivery. First units were delivered by 3 trucks in St. Petersburg, where it was promptly cleared. The use of road transportation of oversized cargo to St. Petersburg has significantly reduced the overall time of delivery. After customs clearance units were delivered to the railway station, where fitting elongated platforms were waiting for the for transportation to Usinsk. Transportation of long cargo on such platforms taking into consideration OOG degree of cargo let us to deliver it from Poland to Usinsk for 30 days.
